Bengaluru currently has a whopping 22 lakh properties, but only 1.6 lakh have taken advantage of the e-khata system. Another 1.4 lakh applications are still pending. Munish Moudgil, Special Commissioner (Revenue) of BBMP, shared that these volunteers will be equipped with BBMP login IDs to securely upload documents directly to municipal servers, ensuring data integrity and security. This service, offered through official BBMP channels, will be available for a nominal fee.
The first kiosk is set to open in HRBR Layout next week, with the rest to follow soon after. Strategically placed across the city, these kiosks will be accessible to everyone. The aim? To cut down on delays, eliminate long queues, and break through bureaucratic red tape.
