Breaking New Ground: Kempegowda International Airport’s Ambitious Business Park Project

Bengaluru: The groundbreaking for the grand 2 million sqft business park at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) has officially commenced. Spearheaded by Bengaluru Airport City Ltd (BACL), a subsidiary of Bangalore International Airport Ltd, this project aims to position Bengaluru as the premier hub for Global Capacity Centres (GCCs).

An official release highlights that this cutting-edge Airport City will feature a network of business parks, making up 52% of the entire development. The flagship business park, designed to foster collaboration and innovation, is set to become a beacon of business excellence.

The Karnataka government’s new GCC Policy for 2024-2029 aims to generate 3.5 lakh jobs and inject $50 billion into the economy.

Spanning 17.7 acres, the business park will house four blocks, each encompassing 0.5 million sqft, nestled within an urban forest. This biophilic design, integrating lush gardens, landscaped balconies, and abundant green spaces, is crafted to enhance the wellbeing of the business community, harmonizing nature with productivity.

Moreover, the upcoming Airport West Metro station, just a stroll away from the business park, promises seamless connectivity to the city center.
